Last week lotto numbers were 3, 12, 18 and 19. One matched three numbers; Donna Devlin. Next week’s jackpot is £1900.
Pride of place this week goes to our minor ladies who picked up the championship last Saturday with a great victory over Coalisland. In what was another great game of football played in a great sporting manners both teams deserve credit for the two games of football they have given us. After a slow start Clonoe charge was kick started with two goals; one by Bronagh Fox and Orla Gavin. This was the difference between the two teams at half time. For the first fifteen minutes of the second half Coalisland where the dominant team but with the Clonoe defence being led by their captain Shannon Donnelly they repel most attacks. With the game in the melting pot with fifteen minutes to go Clonoe went up another gear and kicked for home. With a goal from Niamh Donaghy and a great penalty from Sinead Hanna this meant that the victory was assured. Clonoe won on a score line of 4.09 to 0.14. Well done to everyone involved but a special mention must go to the management team of Gerard Corr, Aidan McVeigh, Colm Doris and Sharon Trainor.
Last Friday night the seniors played their last league match played before the championship. Playing at home against Donaghmore and down a few regulars Clonoe where always in front and won on a score line of 0.16 to 0.11. All roads this week lead to Edendork for the eagerly anticipated championship match against Coalisland. Throw in is for half three and all support will be needed.
The reserves continued their excellent start to the season with a comprehensive victory over Donaghmore.
On Saturday morning our u14 girls played in the semi final of the championship against Sperrin Og. In what was a very high scoring affair with the momentum constantly changing all the time it looked like any team could win the game. But in the last ten minutes Clonoe dug deep to win on a score line of 7.06 to 5.06. This means that the u14 ladies now have a championship and league final to look forward to.
On Thursday night our u14 boys kicked off their championship campaign with a home match against Killeeshil. After a very slow start Clonoe fought hard to get back into the game and by half time they were a few points in front. In the second half they played some great football and they have now advanced to the semi final. This Monday night they play Newtownstewart in the league quarter final at 7.45 at home. All support would be greatly appreciated.
The U12 boys had a great day out at Newry Mitchels tournament on Saturday. They won 2 and lost two of their group games but all bar 3 are still under 12 next year.
The final group game v St John’s of Dublin was for a place in quarter final. St John’s had a big team and had a better 2nd half and won. They got to the final and were beat by 3. The young Rahillys should be very proud of their efforts.
League starts this Tuesday v Eglish. All players to be in changing rooms for 6.30pm.
The winner of the bonus ball last week was Sean Forgie with number 32.
