This week, the Club has been plunged into mourning, with the sudden and untimely death of Ronan Hughes. Ronan was a youth player, having played Goalkeeper throughout his short, youth career. He was a quiet and modest young lad who was popular among all players and coaches. His death has left a dark shadow hanging over our Club. We send our condolences to his Father Gerard, his Mother Teresa, his brother Cathal, his sister Liza and the whole Hughes and Ryan family circle. His funeral takes place on Tuesday, with all our members asked to attend if available, in full Clonoe gear. May he rest in peace. If any young player is having difficulties, we urge them to reach out and find someone to talk to. Our coaches are always willing to listen to any young player. Please be vigilant of your children and friends and look out for each other.
The Seniors bowed out of the Championship last Sunday in Edendork, in a game that we were unable to gain any momentum. We must now turn our attention to the league.
The U14 boys continued their winning ways with a hard fought victory over Newtownstewart in the Championship.
Congratulations to Reserve Team Captain Malachy Hughes and his new wife Shauna on their recent Marriage.
