Clonoe O’Rahilly’s weekly notes – 7/2/2016

Weekly lotto numbers 9,10,12,19. Sean Doris, Roisin Hughes, Charlie McKee matched three numbers. Jackpot £800. Club committee meeting tonight 8pm, everyone expected to attend.
On Sat 6th February our ladies hosted a Fashion Show, what a night was had by everyone. Many thanks to all the shops / clothing retailers who provided the highest quality of garments. Thanks to all of our models, those who helped out on the night including our MC’s Aidan McVeigh and Kathy Donnelly.

The Gaelic Start programme continues on Saturdays 12pm – 1pm. Parents are to be advised that this is not a drop off session, parents must stay for the duration and help with the running of the stations. Bronagh Fox will be operating the club shop on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday’s of each month from 9-10pm commencing on 17th Feb. Some order forms available in the Bar also but need to be returned to Bronagh with £5 deposit of each garment.  There are some discounted items available when the shop opens to first come first served. 

Annual presentation night for adult teams is Saturday 20th February in the Club. Tickets are £10 available from Gary Coney 07540597801. The few remaining Clonoe centenary calendars can be purchased for £10 from behind the bar, club shop or by contacting Gary Coney. On Friday 11th March 8pm in the social club Dr Ruán O’Donnell head History lecturer from Limerick University will be giving a talk on the history of Michael J O’Rahilly and his involvement in the 1916 rising. Sure to a be a great opportunity for young and old to get a deeper insight into the person our club is named after.

The club is planning a football tournament on the 12th March, inviting other O’Rahilly clubs senior teams. Keep an eye out for further details

Date for your diary 12th – 16th July  – 2016 Centenary Cycle – From Ballylongford Co.Kerry, birth place of Michael J O’Rahilly to Clonoe. There will be a few smaller routes built into the main cycle to cater for everyone. Contact Eamonn Hanna for further details – 07759248841
