Clonoe O’Rahilly Weekly Notes 6/3/2016

This Saturday 12th March we will be hosting our O’Rahilly centenary 9 a side tournament, with O’Rahilly teams from Ireland and England taking part. Games start at 10:30am with group games at our main pitch and also at Derrylaughan. We would like to see all our members get out with their children and support this great historical event. After the final, there will be an entertaining session with the Clonoe men who played for Tyrone in the 1986 All Ireland final v Kerry, with some other famous All Ireland winners joining them, the evening will continue with food and live music.

On Friday night there will be a Sports Quiz in the lounge from 10pm. All welcome to attend.

O’Rahilly centenary cycle. Training due to get out on the road in the next few weeks. Now is the time to make the decision and show what you can do for your club on this our Centenary year. Three routes to suit all. This can be a great way to get fit and have a bit of craic along the way never mind the sense of achievement. Congrats to U14 girls who have qualified to the Feile finals with some excellent performances at the opening qualifiers. Gaelic Start has now finished, many thanks to Orlagh Lynch, Liza McKee & Bróna Mac Oscar for leading out on the initiative, once again it has been a great success. Youth Training will commence on Wednesday evenings after Easter,watch local press for details.

A huge well done to James Taggart on making the Acadamh Thír Eoghain U17 Squad and to Briana Quinn and Alicia Devlin on making U14 Tyrone Ladies squad.

All money for the gala should be paid up before the end of July. Gala committee member in bar every Friday evening 7 to 8pm. Many Congrats to Martin & Aisling Hughes on the birth of their baby girl and to Ryan R O’Neill & Orla on their new baby boy.
