The senior men bowed out of the senior championship with a defeat to Coalisland in the semi final 0-15-0-8. The players gave a great account of themselves over five tough weeks but it was one replay too many as Coalisland pulled away in the later stages. Clonoe did have ample chances but with a wide count of 12 to 2 showed that Coalisland were more clinical up front. Good luck to both teams in next weeks final.
Senior ladies season came to an end on Saturday with a 3-12 to 2.08 defeat to Mna Na Deirge in the league semi final, for the first year in having a ladies team the girls should be proud in knowing they are putting the structures in place for all the young girls coming through the underage levels. Well done to all players and managers. The u13 boys continued to impress with a 2-17 to 0-7 win over Derrylaughan.
On the 15th October there will be a very special appreciation night for a very special man – Joe McCabe. The evening will start at 8:30pm and finish around 10:30pm with some comedy storytelling by Patsy O’Hagan. There is no charge to this event and everyone is welcome, it will definitely be one you will not want to miss.
